Analyse the varying interpretations and representations of Josip Broz Tito and how they have impacted on his legacy Intro: Josip Broz Tito, one of the most highly debated public figures in recent political history, was a socialist revolutionist and communist leader who founded the multi-national State, ‘Yugoslavia’ in the 20th century, ruling between 1953 and 1980. Tito was conspicuous without a particular leadership talent, except one – political, where his sovereign methodology continues to endure scrupulous political commentary, affixing to notions in the ever-changing debate regarding his legacy. Tito stands as one of the most complex and enigmatic of politicians, deemed as “Banal, yet irrefutable,” and as a literary subject, he is magnified by the highly publicised, turbulent, course of his life, which provides the assertion that man is a mixture of the ‘angelic’ and the ‘demonic’,” which encapsulates the two opposing yet primary representations of Tito.
